Composer-pianist James Siddons has set William H. Doane's familiar melody of 1870 for both handbell solo and piano and handchime solo and piano. Either version may be performed by two , three or four ringers. Appropriate for quiet interludes in worship services as well as recitals. Two copies are needed (ringer(s) and pianist).
A joyful song written with a child's voice in mind but singable by anyone for worship or other religious gathering. The words are based on Psalm 91:11-12 -- "He shall give His angels charge over thee" -- but the verses tell of mending broken flowers and healing wounded animals -- everyday miracles that anyone can do.
